Magenic’s Chicago office was recently named as one of the 2013 Best Places to Work in Illinois! Located in Lombard, the office was recognized by The Daily Herald Business Ledger in partnership with the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC), the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce, and the Workforce Boards of Metropolitan Chicago and managed by Best Companies Group.

2013 has been the year of Jason Bock. After scooping the very impressive “MVP of the Year” award in March, he was recently named one of the National Practice Leads at Magenic. In his new position, Jason will be responsible for developing Magenic’s thought leadership in the AppDev practice.

Last month, Magenic hosted The Enterprise Mobile Summit (EntMo) at the City Club of Buckhead in Atlanta. The event, on March 14, featured a panel of executive speakers from Coca-Cola, UPS, Thomson Reuters, Microsoft, and Aaron’s. Speakers, attendees, and the hosts all agreed that the event was very successful.

Magenic would proudly like to congratulate Jason Bock on being the recipient of Microsoft’s “MVP Of The Year” award for Visual C#. A Principal Lead Consultant and Magenicon of almost 12 years, Jason is one of only 32 recipients of this great award. With over 4000 MVPs globally, that’s no small feat!

On Saturday, March 9, 2013, consultants from Magenic spoke and volunteered at the first SQL Saturday ever in the Philippines.

Over the next two months, March and April, Magenic data professionals will be involved in SQL Saturdays in Costa Rica and in the Philippines.

Magenic Vice President of Business Development Matt Lockhart was recently a guest on Talk Business 360 – an airline radio show that can be heard on flights from Delta, American Airlines and U.S. Airways.

Magenic is on tour with .NET Rocks! This cross-country campaign features Carl Franklin and Richard Campbell who host a weekly .NET-based internet talk show. Members of the Magenic team have been and will be featured in seven major US cities.
