In a recent interview, John Himebook mentioned developing a Windows 8 application for Smartvue, a surveillance company. John mentioned it as an example of what Windows 8 can bring to a consumer facing application.

The upcoming release of Windows 8 (Win8) has the Microsoft world (and everyone in it) in a frenzy. While the Win8 news is exciting for Magenic’s thought leaders, being frenzied is hardly anything new. That’s because they always take it upon themselves to share their expertise with their peers in the technological world. With the depth of their experience, that’s no easy feat. Here’s a look at how they’ve been spending their summers and what they have on the docket coming up.

A very commonly misunderstood concept in SharePoint is the notion of page customization and uncustomization. While this topic has been hashed and re-hashed, it seems that every time I revisit it, I gain new insight. This post will try to sort out some of the spaghetti to bring more clarity and also try to point out a different perspective on a familiar concept.
