Jason Bock
At the //Build/ Windows conference in Anaheim, California last month, Rockford Lhotka, Magenic’s Principal Technology Evangelist, caught up with some of our top consultants to get their thoughts on what they had learned during the sessions. In the first interview, he sits down with Jason Bock, a Magenic Principal Consultant and Microsoft MVP. Throughout the conference Jason has learned how to create more interesting code and shares his thoughts on a new Windows App store. He tells us there is no one best thing that he heard during the conference but is excited for the Windows tablet. Our consultants bring back a lot of new knowledge to apply to our custom application development projects for our clients’ mission-critical needs.
Chris Williams
In the next interview, we hear from Chris Williams, a Principal Consultant for Magenic and a Microsoft MVP. Chris discusses what his impressions have been so far at //Build/ and what he has enjoyed learning about. The coolest new things Chris will take away from the conference are the new touch features being released. These features will affect the way our consultants develop code as well as the user experience we can offer to our clients.
Sergey Barskiy
Another Principal Consultant and Microsoft MVP from Magenic present at the //Build/ Windows conference is Sergey Barskiy. He is impressed with the big picture being discussed, specifically Metro style apps that will create more immersive experiences for the user and the caveat that developers will need to learn new APIs to leverage the new technology. Sergey enjoys seeing the new and improved aspects at the conference, many of which will soon be incorporated into Magenic’s own custom software development projects.
Kevin Ford
Kevin Ford, a Senior Consultant at Magenic, is most excited about consolidating the Windows platform which he is learning about at //Build/. Rocky also talks to Kevin about user experience, the Windows tablet, and new architecture that is being released. Through the many sessions at the conference, the Magenic consultants are able to apply new knowledge to their custom software development projects as well as look forward to the new technologies that they will soon be using.
Stuart Williams
The last interview in the series from //Build/ is Stuart Williams, a Consulting Manager with Magenic. Stuart discusses his impressions with the sessions so far, including that he is “blissed out” about everything he has learned. He also talks about the server-side infrastructure and private cloud aspects reviewed during the conference. //Build/ is a great way for our consultants to learn as much as possible from other experts in the field and bring the information they learn back to Magenic for future projects.
